Job Title:Data Governance Senior Financial Analyst Location: São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil Type: Full Time Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst – Finance to drive enterprise data governance initiatives and ensure the integrity, consistency, and reliability of financial master data. This role will act as a subject matter expert for finance-related data domains, supporting the implementation of governance frameworks, standards, and processes that enable accurate reporting and effective decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Data Governance & Standards Lead governance initiatives within the finance domain, including defining policies, standards, and performance metrics Identify and address process gaps, driving improvements in workflows and data management practices Promote best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all data governance activities Master Data Management Establish and maintain global standards for financial master data, including accounts, entities, partners, and hierarchies Define clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability for data creation and maintenance Ensure consistent application of governance principles across systems Process & Workflow Management Manage intake and execution of master data updates (mappings, hierarchies, and structures) Facilitate governance forums and ensure timely implementation of changes Recommend process improvements and implement controls to enhance efficiency Tools & Systems Enablement Support the design, enhancement, and testing of workflow and data management tools Ensure controls are embedded within systems to maintain data integrity and seamless integration Collaborate on system improvements and automation initiatives Data Quality & Compliance Define and monitor data quality rules and metrics Identify defects, drive resolution processes, and ensure adherence to governance standards Support the creation and maintenance of "golden records" for trusted data usage Documentation & Training Maintain documentation such as data standards, dictionaries, process flows, and procedures Develop training materials and conduct sessions for stakeholders Provide ongoing support for data-related queries and initiatives What We're Looking For: Strong understanding of data governance and financial master data management Experience working with enterprise systems and data workflows Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and process improvement Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field 3–6 years of experience in finance, data governance, SAP, or master data management Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, and collaboration platforms Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Preferred: Familiarity with workflow tools and master data governance platforms Exposure to data analytics, automation tools, or scripting (e.g., Python) Experience with data cataloging, data dictionaries, or documentation tools Interest or exposure to AI/ML concepts
