About the Role An international technology company is looking for a hands-on IP Networks Team Lead to drive modernization initiatives across global network infrastructure, including cloud transformation, IPv4 to IPv6 migration, and next-generation data center networking. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering and team management responsibilities. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a small network engineering team Design and operate global IP backbone and data center networks Drive SDN/SD-WAN and cloud networking initiatives Support IPv6 migration and network modernization projects Manage routing, switching, firewall, and MPLS environments Improve automation, observability, and network reliability Lead troubleshooting, incident resolution, and performance optimization Requirements Must Have 10+ years of Network Engineering experience, including 2+ years in a Lead or Manager role. Proven experience designing, implementing, and operating large-scale Data Center networks. Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus and Cisco ACI (design, deployment, and operations). Experience with Spine-Leaf architectures, EVPN-VXLAN, and Data Center network design. Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and enterprise routing/switching. Experience with SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI, NDFC, VMware NSX, or similar. Hands-on experience with network automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, or equivalent tools. Experience with AWS networking (VPC, Direct Connect, VPN, Transit Gateway, etc.). Experience managing enterprise firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, or Cisco Firepower. Ability to lead engineers, drive technical decisions, and own network architecture and operational strategy. Nice to Have Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Cisco SD-WAN/Viptela, Fortinet, Versa, Meraki, etc.). Direct people management experience (performance reviews, coaching, career development). CCNP/CCIE Data Center or equivalent certifications. Experience working with global carriers, IXPs, and Data Center providers.
