Position We are currently strengthening our engineering team in Latin America and are seeking a qualified professional to support grid integration, dynamic modeling, and validation activities for utility-scale photovoltaic and energy storage projects. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with regional grid codes, modeling activities, and supporting the successful deployment of advanced converter-based technologies in complex power systems. Main Responsibilities Participate in regular project meetings, identify and summarize issues related to site-specific models, and ensure proper follow-up and resolution. Manage and respond to customer emails and technical requests in a timely and structured manner. Visit customers when required, communicate effectively on technical modeling topics, and participate in technical exchange meetings with power grid companies and project stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, engineering, and product teams) to analyze and propose solutions for control system and modeling-related challenges. Perform testing and validation of simulation models and associated technical documentation. Work closely with the model development team and HIL testing team to validate models and products against regional grid code requirements. Monitor and understand new and evolving grid code requirements, as well as product-related technical requirements in the relevant region. Collect, organize, and analyze technical data from competing products, including models, simulation reports, and related documentation, to support benchmarking and internal improvements. Required Knowledge and Skills Strong knowledge of power system simulation and grid integration studies. Proficiency in at least one of the following tools: PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, EMTP, PSS/E, or ANATEM/ATP. Understanding of control systems for grid-connected converters. Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python. Understanding of EMT and RMS modeling approaches and their differences. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Education and Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in power system simulation and dynamic modeling activities. Intermediate to advanced English proficiency. Preferred Experience Experience in dynamic modeling of converter-based resources such as PV, Wind, or BESS. Familiarity with grid code compliance processes in Latin America. Experience with Grid-Forming (GFM) control strategies. Exposure to HIL testing environments and model validation workflows. Experience interfacing with TSOs or participating in formal validation processes.
