They are also expanding into strategic investments in copper and tantalum-niobium mining projects in Brazil.They are now seeking an experienced and visionary Regional COO – Brazil together with Regional CEO to lead our Brazilian operations, drive bilateral trade growth, and spearhead future mining investment initiatives.Location: Brazil (São Paulo / Rio de Janeiro preferred, with frequent travel to mining regions)Reports to: HQ Chief Operating Officer (Hong Kong / China)RESPONSIBILITIES• Strategic Leadership & Business DevelopmentDevelop and execute the company's long-term strategy for Brazil, aligning with global corporate goals. Focusing on China-Brazil bilateral trade and future mining investments.• Operations ManagementOversee day-to-day mining and processing operations, including exploration, extraction, logistics, and supply chain. Ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable production while meeting production targets and cost controls.• International Trading & Commercial ResponsibilitiesNegotiate contracts, optimize pricing, logistics and supply chain for key commodities; manage trade risks (currency, tariffs, compliance).• Regulatory & Compliance OversightEnsure full compliance with Brazilian export regulations, mining laws (ANM, MME, IBAMA), food safety standards (frozen meat), ESG requirements, anti-corruption laws and international trade rules.• Financial & Risk ManagementOversee budgeting, financial performance, and risk mitigation (environmental, operational, geopolitical). Report to headquarters on Brazil's P&L, forecasts, and key metrics.• Team LeadershipLead local management team (operations, finance, legal, HR, sustainability).
