We are looking for an Senior FSRU Operations Engineer to join our operations in Brazil, based at our Rio de Janeiro office. WHAT DO WE EXPECT? *Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum/Gas Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or Marine Officer/Chief Engineer (STCW). *Candidates combining an engineering degree with seagoing FSRU/LNG tanker experience will be prioritized. *>8Years (minimum 4 years directly in FSRU or LNG terminal operations) *Advanced English (mandatory) | Portuguese — working proficiency minimum (mandatory). * MS Office (advanced); SAP PM/MM; MS Project (desirable); Power BI (desirable)STCW Basic Safety Training (desirable); GWO (desirable); OPITO LNG or SIGTTO gas industry certification will be a strong plus. *Strong analytical and report-writing skills in English and Portuguese. Proven ability to manage interfaces with multiple stakeholders (regulatory authorities, charterers, OEMs, Class societies). *Ability to interpret and operationalize BBC/OSA contractual clauses. *Experience with Brazilian energy/maritime regulators (ANP, ANTAQ, Brazilian Navy) strongly preferred. *Willingness to travel to vessel/terminal sites as required. WHAT AWAITS YOU? * Support with local needs for the new FSRUs readiness programme ahead of first gas-out, following commissioning activities between the vessel crew, engineering teams, and client/offtaker representatives. * Develop and manage the Pre-Operations Checklist, punch lists, and start-up procedures in alignment with BBC and OSA contract conditions. *Oversee preparation and submission of all documentation required by ANP, ANTAQ, and Brazilian Navy prior to FSRU commercial operations commencement. * Support preparation for mooring, berthing, and jetty/buoy interface assessments and ensure FSRU is ready to meet contractual operational start date (COD). *Track and report pre-operations milestones, flagging risks to Senior Leadership in a timely manner. *Serve as the onshore focal point for daily FSRU operational activities, maintaining continuous interface with the vessel's Senior Officers (Master, Chief Engineer, Gas Officer) and onshore management. *Monitor send-out rates, regasification performance, boil-off gas (BOG) management, and LNG inventory, ensuring alignment with contracted dispatch schedules and offtaker requirements. *Supervise planned and unplanned maintenance activities, ensuring operational continuity is preserved and any downtime is managed within BBC/OSA contractual allowances. *Supervise LNG cargo receiving operations, including Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfers: pre-transfer planning, compatibility assessments, authority approvals (ANP Authorization, ANTAQ), and post-transfer reporting. *Ensure continuous compliance with ANP Resolution 810/2020 (Safety Management for LNG terminals/FSRUs), ANP Resolution 982/2022 (gas quality standards), and all applicable ANP authorization conditions for FSRU operations. *Support and follow-up all ANTAQ requirements are met for the FSRU as a port facility and maritime installation, including ISPS compliance, operational safety, and berthing/mooring approvals.
