This role focuses on leveraging core Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run, to enable secure, efficient, and resilient system operations. The engineer will bridge the gap between application development and cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration, optimal performance, and operational excellence across the entire cloud lifecycle.JOB DUTIESContainerization & Orchestration: Design, configure, and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Optimize cluster scaling, resource allocation, and container scheduling.Serverless Deployment: Deploy and manage scalable microservices and applications utilizing Cloud Run, ensuring optimal configuration for concurrency, memory allocation, and cold-start minimization.Automation & CI/CD: Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) frameworks to guarantee rapid, reliable releases.Core Cloud Operations: Manage core GCP modules including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery, ensuring proper resource utilization, lifecycle management, and cost optimization.Security & Compliance: Maintain a rigorous cloud security posture by implementing IAM roles, least-privilege access controls, VPC service controls, and encryption mechanisms for data at rest and in transit.Operational Excellence: Monitor system performance, latency, and resource utilization using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging; implement proactive alerting and advanced troubleshooting strategies for distributed systems.Collaboration: Work closely with application and development teams to define deployment strategies, architectural best practices, and infrastructure-ready application design patterns.Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, disaster recovery plans, and operational runbooks.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.Core Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps, with a specialized focus on core cloud operations and infrastructure management.Platform Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with a track record of deploying enterprise workloads.Container & Serverless Mastery: Demonstrated experience setting up, scaling, and managing Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run environments in production.Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, or Pulumi for managing and versioning cloud resources.Modern Architecture: Strong background in microservices-based design patterns, service meshes, and container-native application lifecycles using Docker.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESCloud Architecture: Deep understanding of cloud-native design principles, high availability architectures, and disaster recovery strategies within GCP.Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, including Cloud DNS, Cloud Load Balancing, VPC peering, Shared VPCs, and Firewalls.Security & Identity: Expert-level knowledge of GCP IAM policies, service accounts, and secret management practices.Programming/Scripting: Ability to write clean, maintainable automation and configuration scripts in Bash, Python, Go, or Node.Js.Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose, trace, and debug complex infrastructure and performance issues across multi-tier, distributed environments.Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively bridge the gap between engineering complexities and organizational operational objectives.OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Professional Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect is a plus, but not required.
