Director of Engineering (LATAM Based) - Remote - $175K Base

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead and scale a distributed engineering organization in a high-growth remote environment.
This role will oversee multiple engineering teams and front-line engineering managers across a globally distributed organization. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who excels at building engineering culture, improving operational maturity, and helping teams execute effectively at scale.
You will work closely with executive leadership, product management, and architecture leadership to drive engineering execution, organizational development, and technical excellence.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and mentor engineering managers and technical leaders across multiple teams
Build a strong engineering culture centered on accountability, collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement
Scale engineering operations through effective hiring, onboarding, organizational planning, and career development
Improve engineering processes, delivery predictability, and development workflows across teams
Partner with Product and cross-functional leadership to align technical execution with business priorities
Establish engineering best practices around architecture, testing, CI/CD, observability, and platform reliability
Support organizational growth by developing future leaders and strengthening management capabilities
Drive alignment and communication across distributed engineering teams operating in multiple time zones
Help create a high-performing, inclusive, and transparent remote-first environment
Qualifications:
8+ years of software engineering experience with significant engineering leadership responsibility
Proven experience managing managers and overseeing multiple engineering teams in a scaling organization
Strong background in Agile delivery, DevOps practices, CI/CD, and modern software engineering operations
Experience scaling distributed engineering organizations in remote or hybrid environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to balance technical quality, delivery execution, and organizational health
Strong technical foundation with the ability to guide architectural and engineering decisions
Experience partnering closely with Product and executive leadership
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: $175,000 USD
Fully remote - company HQ'd in the US
