Job Title:Data Governance Senior Financial AnalystLocation: São Paulo, São Paulo, BrazilType: Full TimeOur Client is seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst – Finance to drive enterprise data governance initiatives and ensure the integrity, consistency, and reliability of financial master data.This role will act as a subject matter expert for finance-related data domains, supporting the implementation of governance frameworks, standards, and processes that enable accurate reporting and effective decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Data Governance & StandardsLead governance initiatives within the finance domain, including defining policies, standards, and performance metricsIdentify and address process gaps, driving improvements in workflows and data management practicesPromote best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all data governance activitiesMaster Data ManagementEstablish and maintain global standards for financial master data, including accounts, entities, partners, and hierarchiesDefine clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability for data creation and maintenanceEnsure consistent application of governance principles across systemsProcess & Workflow ManagementManage intake and execution of master data updates (mappings, hierarchies, and structures)Facilitate governance forums and ensure timely implementation of changesRecommend process improvements and implement controls to enhance efficiencyTools & Systems EnablementSupport the design, enhancement, and testing of workflow and data management toolsEnsure controls are embedded within systems to maintain data integrity and seamless integrationCollaborate on system improvements and automation initiativesData Quality & ComplianceDefine and monitor data quality rules and metricsIdentify defects, drive resolution processes, and ensure adherence to governance standardsSupport the creation and maintenance of "golden records" for trusted data usageDocumentation & TrainingMaintain documentation such as data standards, dictionaries, process flows, and proceduresDevelop training materials and conduct sessions for stakeholdersProvide ongoing support for data-related queries and initiativesWhat We're Looking For:Strong understanding of data governance and financial master data managementExperience working with enterprise systems and data workflowsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsAnalytical mindset with a focus on data quality and process improvementAbility to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environmentsQualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field3–6 years of experience in finance, data governance, SAP, or master data managementProficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, and collaboration platformsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsPreferred:Familiarity with workflow tools and master data governance platformsExposure to data analytics, automation tools, or scripting (e.g., Python)Experience with data cataloging, data dictionaries, or documentation toolsInterest or exposure to AI/ML concepts
