This role plays a critical, hands‐on part in ensuring sustainability certification, audit readiness, and compliance integrity across Nufarm's bioenergy and related value chains.With a strong operational focus, the role leads global certification and audit direction, works closely with regional teams to achieve and maintain certification readiness, and expands assurance oversight beyond certification to include legal, environmental, social, traceability, and internal policy requirements.The position also oversees internal assessments of centrally managed global processes including GHG tool governance, methodology determination, risk management, and documentation controls to identify gaps, drive corrective actions, and strengthen end‐to‐end assurance performance across the business.How You'll Help Us GrowIn this role, you will act as a key assurance and control function within the business, strengthening certification outcomes through audit discipline, procedural rigor, and proactive risk identification.Key responsibilities include:Leading global sustainability certification and audit direction across the Assurance Program, including coordination with certification bodies, auditors, and regional teams.Owning interpretation and practical implementation guidance for certification requirements, standards, procedures, and external scheme updates.Driving certification readiness and performance across regions to achieve and maintain full certification compliance.Overseeing certification program deployment for new countries, processors, value‐chain partners, and applicable carbon‐credit or market requirements.Providing oversight of internal audit activities for regional assurance programs, ensuring audits are thorough, consistent, and well executed (this role does not own regional program implementation).Conducting internal assessments of centrally managed global processes, including GHG tool governance, methodology determination, documentation controls, and risk management.Identifying control gaps, compliance risks, and process weaknesses, and supporting corrective actions before issues escalate.Partnering with regional, program, and data/IT teams to strengthen systems, reporting, and process design.Reviewing regional audit outcomes and corrective action plans, escalating significant non‐compliances and ensuring timely closure.Monitoring regional execution of land‐use verification, traceability, mass balance, training, and documentation expectations.Building strong, trusted relationships across regions and functions to influence outcomes without direct authority.Providing leadership, coaching, and development for any direct reports, with strong matrix leadership for regional assurance personnel.Supporting training, communication, and change‐management activities related to certification, compliance, and assurance.Could This Be You?Direct experience working with sustainability certification, assurance, or audit programs, such as bioenergy, biofuels, carbon markets, LCFS, EU RED, or similar regulated frameworks.Background in audit‐driven, compliance‐heavy environments with strong procedural discipline and internal controls.Proven ability to identify certification or compliance gaps and influence corrective action without direct authority.Strong attention to detail and comfort working in documentation, checklist, and process-oriented environments.Ability to work constructively across regions, functions, and seniority levels while enforcing standards consistently.Why Join Nufarm?At Nufarm, you'll be part of a purpose‐driven global organization that is evolving with agriculture to help meet the world's growing needs for food, feed, fiber, and fuel.
